MAGIKBIT (“MAGIKBIT”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the website magikbit.com and the social media management service at marketing.magikbit.com (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your data.
By using the Service you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
- Name, email address, and password (stored as a salted hash)
- Business name and billing contact details
- Payment information — processed by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
1.2 Content You Upload
- Posts, captions, images, and videos you create or upload to schedule
- Scheduling preferences and post history
- Analytics returned to us by connected social platforms
1.3 Connected Social Accounts
When you authorize the Service to connect to a third-party social platform (such as TikTok, YouTube, Slack, X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, or Threads), we receive and store the OAuth tokens and the profile information that platform exposes to us. The specific data varies by platform — see Section 4 below for details.
1.4 Technical Information
- IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system
- Pages visited within the Service, timestamps, and referring URLs
- Cookies and similar technologies used for authentication and session management
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and improve the Service
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure
- To publish, schedule, and report on content you direct us to post on connected social platforms
- To process payments and prevent fraud
- To communicate with you about your account, security alerts, and service updates
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in the following limited cases:
- Third-party social platforms: when you direct us to publish on your behalf, we send the relevant content to those platforms (TikTok, YouTube, etc.) using their official APIs.
- Service providers: we use vetted infrastructure providers (Amazon Web Services for hosting, Stripe for payments, Resend for transactional email) under data-processing agreements.
- Legal compliance: we may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of MAGIKBIT, our customers, or the public.
- Business transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred. We will notify you before any such transfer.
4. Third-Party Social Platforms — Specific Disclosures
When you connect a social account through MAGIKBIT, the following applies. You can disconnect any platform at any time from your dashboard under Channels → Manage.
4.1 TikTok
When you authorize the TikTok integration we receive, via the TikTok Login Kit and Content Posting API:
- Your TikTok
open_id, display name, avatar URL, and profile link - Aggregate statistics for your account (follower count, following count, likes count, video count)
- The list of public videos you have posted
- Permission to upload and publish videos on your behalf at the times you schedule
We use this data only to display your connected TikTok account inside the dashboard and to publish the content you schedule. We do not share TikTok data with any third party, and we do not use it for advertising or model training. When you disconnect your TikTok account, all associated tokens and profile data are deleted within 30 days. Our handling of TikTok data complies with the TikTok Developer Terms of Service.
4.2 YouTube
The YouTube integration uses the YouTube Data API v3 under the YouTube Terms of Service. We receive your channel ID, channel name, thumbnail, and permission to upload videos. To revoke access at any time, visit your Google security settings.
4.3 X (Twitter), LinkedIn, Slack, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and others
For each connected platform we store an OAuth access token and the minimum profile information needed to publish on your behalf (handle, display name, profile image). Data flow is governed by that platform’s terms. Disconnecting from MAGIKBIT revokes our access; you may additionally revoke the connection from inside the respective platform’s settings.
5. Data Retention
- Account data is retained while your account is active and for up to 90 days after deletion for backup and dispute-resolution purposes.
- Connected-platform tokens and profile data are deleted within 30 days of disconnection or account deletion.
- Published content remains on the third-party platform after disconnection; we do not control content already published.
- Billing records are retained for the period required by applicable tax and accounting law (typically 7 years).
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
- Request deletion of your account and associated personal data
- Export your data in a machine-readable format
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent for processing where consent is the legal basis

7. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including TLS 1.2+ in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive credentials, single-tenant database isolation per environment, regular automated backups, and the principle of least privilege for staff access. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your data we will notify you within 72 hours.
8. Cookies
We use first-party cookies strictly necessary to keep you logged in and to remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on the Service.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. International Transfers
MAGIKBIT is operated from the United States. By using the Service you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and to other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest revision. For material changes we will notify active customers by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
